The ExPression and clinical significance of eIF4E and ki67 in patients with endometrosis

  • Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of eIF4E and ki67 in endometriosis. Methods The expression of eIF4E and ki67 were detected by immuno- histochemical method of SP in 30 cases of endometriosis and 20 cases of normal endometrium. Results Expression of the three groups showed such sequence as follows about eIF4E and ki67: ectopic endometrium>eutopic endometrium>normal endometrium, there was a significant difference statistically (P<0.01); eIF4E during the reign of normal endometrium and endometrial secretion period is higher than the proliferation period, the differences are significant statistical significance (P<0.05), ki67 in normal secretory phase endometrium group is higher than breeding period (P<0.05), in ectopic group multiplication period is higher than the discharge (P<0.05). The eIF4E and ki67 protein had obvious positive correlation in ectopic endometrial and endometrium (r=0.861, P<0.01; r=0.788, P<0.01), but there was no correlation in the normal endometrium (r=0.297, P=0.207). Conclusion eIF4E and ki67 in endometriosis express obviously increased. The expression of eIF4E and ki67 were positively associated with development and progression of endometriosis.
