Effect of tea polyphenols on sinus healing in post-operative radioactive osteomyelitis of the jaws evaluated by cone beam CT

目的 通过锥型束CT及窦道造影评价茶多酚对放射性颌骨骨髓炎术后窦道愈合的效果。 方法 收集放射性颌骨骨髓炎术后伴有口腔黏膜窦道的患者30例,随机分2组,每组各15例。窦道分别每日予复方茶多酚含漱液(实验组)或生理盐水(对照组)局部冲洗及含漱,每3周使用锥型束CT行窦道造影成像,计算窦道体积变化。MTT法检测茶多酚对人永生化口腔黏膜上皮细胞系的增殖影响。 结果 治疗12周后,实验组的窦道缩小情况优于对照组(5.40±4.15 cm3 vs 8.12±5.47 cm3),差异具有统计学意义(F=4.384,P=0.043)。CCK-8法检测发现,经120 mg/L茶多酚的处理后,人永生化口腔黏膜上皮细胞系的增殖速率高于无处理的对照组(0.162±0.030 vs 0.075±0.017),具有统计学意义(F=5.783,P=0.017)。 结论 茶多酚可能通过促进口腔黏膜上皮增殖,加快放射性颌骨骨髓炎术后窦道的愈合。 Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of tea polyphenols on sinus healing in post-operative radioactive osteomyelitis of jaws (ORN) by cone beam CT and contrast fistulography. Methods Thirty ORN cases with post-operative oral mucosa sinus were divided into 2 groups randomly. In experimental group, sinus was rinsed and gargled with tea polyphenols solution in daily. In control group, sinus was treated with normal saline. Sinus radiography was taken by cone beam CT every 3 weeks with calculation of sinus volume in 2 groups. Effect of tea polyphenols on proliferation of human immortalized oral mucosal epithelial cell line was detected by MTT. Results The sinus volume in experimental group was smaller than that in control group after 12 weeks of treatment (P<0.05). With treatment of 120 mg/L tea polyphenols, growth rate of NOK in experimental group was higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Tea polyphenols can accelerate the healing of post-operative sinus in ORN through stimulating the proliferation of epithelium cell. -
