Research progress of circulating microRNAs in preeclampsia

Abstract: Preeclampsia is one major cause of maternal and fetus morbidity and mortality in the world, the pathogenesis is stillunclear. MicroRNAs are non-coding small RNA that can regulate the gene expression and participate in many importantbio-functions such as cellular proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Recently, studies demonstrate that microRNAs canbe use as diagnosis biomarkers and treating targets for many diseases. The imbalance of microRNAs in placenta and circulationof PE patients demonstrate that microRNAs may play an important role in pathogenesis of PE. This review summarizescurrent studies on circulating microRNA in PE.-
